1. Who we are
Linevera is operated by JDWeb (jdweb.cc). Linevera provides a hosted business phone line that runs on top of your Android device's existing carrier service. Outbound calls bridge through the carrier; SMS and MMS route through licensed messaging carriers (currently VoIP Innovations).
2. Information we collect
From the user (you, signed in to the Service)
- Account credentials — username and a hashed password stored only as a bcrypt hash; we never see the plaintext.
- Assigned business phone number — the DID issued to you by your administrator.
- Address book contents — names, phone numbers, and contact photos that the app reads from your Android device. These are uploaded so the SMS web portal can show the same names and photos.
- Device push token — a Firebase Cloud Messaging registration so we can notify you of inbound messages. The token is opaque and is deleted on sign-out.
- Call records — the to/from numbers, timestamps, durations, and disposition of business calls placed or received via the Service.
- SMS / MMS content — messages you send and receive, including images you attach, are stored on our server so they appear across devices and on the web portal.
- Voicemail — audio of voicemails left for you, plus an automatically generated transcript.
- Account preferences — signature, auto-responder text, do-not-disturb state.
From third parties who text or call your business line
If a customer texts your business line, we receive the inbound message — including the customer's phone number, the message body, and any attached media — from the carrier's webhook. We store this so it appears in your inbox.
3. How we use information
- To deliver the core Service (route calls, send/receive messages, store voicemail, render the inbox).
- To send push notifications to your device on inbound messages.
- To enforce US carrier rules — for example, recording opt-outs (STOP) and refusing to deliver further messages to recipients who've opted out.
- To diagnose problems, monitor service health, and prevent abuse.
- To bill the operator of your business line.
4. Information we do NOT collect or sell
- We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
- We do not use your address book or message content for advertising.
- We do not share message content with anyone other than the carrier required to deliver it.
- We do not maintain advertising profiles on you.
5. Who sees your data
- You — through the app and the web portal.
- Your administrator — has visibility into call logs, message logs (per-tenant), and account configuration. Administrators do not see message content of users on tenants other than their own.
- JDWeb staff — for support and infrastructure operations only, and only when needed to diagnose a problem you report.
- Carriers — VoIP Innovations and any underlying mobile carrier for the purposes of actually delivering the call/message.
- Law enforcement — only in response to a valid legal demand (subpoena, warrant, or court order).
6. SMS — opt-in, opt-out, HELP
The Service complies with the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA):
- STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT, END sent to any Linevera business line will permanently unsubscribe the sender from that line. We send a single confirmation, then refuse all further outbound to that recipient.
- START, UNSTOP, YES resubscribes a previously-opted-out recipient.
- HELP returns this support contact: jason.derr@thecomputerguy.cc.
- Opt-out keywords are recognized case-insensitively and tolerate punctuation.
- Operators of Linevera business lines are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent before sending non-conversational messages, in accordance with the Terms of Service.
7. Data security
We use TLS for all network traffic, bcrypt for password storage, encrypted Android Keystore for device-side credentials, JWT for API authentication, and per-tenant isolation in our database schema. Backups are encrypted and stored off-site. We monitor service health and would notify affected users in the event of a breach affecting their account.
8. Retention
- Messages and call logs — retained while your account is active. We don't currently auto-purge old data.
- Voicemails — retained until you delete them or your administrator removes the account.
- Opt-out records — retained indefinitely. Honoring STOP requests requires a permanent record.
- Backups — kept for 14 days local + 8 weekly snapshots off-site.
9. Your choices
- Delete the app — clears all locally cached data on your device. Server-side data persists until your administrator removes your account.
- Account closure — ask your administrator. If you don't have one, email us and we'll forward the request appropriately.
- Export your data — email us at the address below; we can produce your message history on request.
10. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email to administrators.
